While you’re hoping for a return of In Living Color, you might want to check out this sketch comedy series that airs on Sunday nights on the Adult Swim network, titled, Loiter Squad. The new season – its 3rd – of Loiter Squad premieres on Thursday, May 15 at midnight ET/PT.

Despite now going into its 3rd season, many have actually never heard of the series, based on the unscientific research I did (polling every one I know on and offline). I hadn’t heard of it until it was entering its second season last year, and eventually did check out a few episodes, but wasn’t hooked in. So I didn’t hang around for too long. But maybe some of you are fans.

The series is Adult Swim’s reality-prank-whatever created by and starring Odd Future, the Los Angeles collective of rappers, artists, and skateboarders that includes Tyler the Creator, Jasper, Lionel, Earl and Taco. They perform ridiculous stunts in public while pranking any and all innocent bystanders. You can watch some of their latest mind altering exploits on http://AdultSwim.com.

Loiter Squad comes from the same production company (Dickhouse Entertainment) behind hit properties like Jackass and Ridiculousness, which should give you some idea of what to expect, if you’re not already familiar, although I wouldn’t exactly call it Jackass, the black version, because it’s not – based on the few episodes I watched last year.

Season 3 premieres on Thursday, May 15 at Midnight (ET/PT) on Adult Swim.

Like I said, it’s not what I’d call top-shelf humor (not to me anyway), and it’s definitely not In Living Color, but I thought I should mention it here, so those who haven’t checked it out yet can do so for themselves and make up their own minds. Some may actually fall in love with the show!
