nullMiss Representation, the documentary featuring conversations with Condoleezza Rice, Nancy Pelosi, Rachel Maddow, Margaret Cho, Rosario Dawson, and others on the impact of women's portrayals in the media, comes to DVD April 10th.

The film's DVD release by Virgil Films & Entertainment follows a successful 2011 Sundance Film Festival premiere, a stint as part of OWN's Documentary Club, as well as a nationwide screening tour throughout film festivals, universities and institutions.

Written and directed by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Miss Representation charges maintream media with presenting portrayals of women that make it difficult for women and girls to see their leadership potential.

An interesting film, which seems to extend one of the conversations explored in Byron Hurt's 2006 documentary Beyond Beats and Rhymes, which touched on misogyny and exploitation of women in hip hop.
