Mo’Nique might have ended her feud with Lee Daniels, but she’s not out of drama. This time, it’s with fellow comedian D.L. Hughley.

According to Hot News Hip Hop, the two are squabbling over a contract dispute. They performed together May 28 at The Comedy Explosion at Detroit’s Fox Theater. When it was Mo’Nique’s time to perform, she told the audience that she was supposed to headline the show, but a contract dispute between her and Hughley made that not the case.

Part of Mo'Nique's set includes her saying, "That's what the motherf---ing contract says…Mo'Nique is to be the last motherf---ing person on the got damn stage. She is the headliner. That's what I signed the contract for."

“What kind of real n—- would ever attack a got-damned Black woman?” she continued, referencing something Hughley apparently said about her in a prior comedy show. She also went on to insult him personally, saying she feels bad for his wife. “N—-, your name is D.L. What the f— does it sand for?…How far are you bending over n—-? On the DL.” Mo’Nique also said, “How do you [give oral sex to] a coward?”

She also had words for Steve Harvey, Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry, calling them "coons."

Hughley has since responded to the rant, writing in an Instagram post that Mo'Nique was wrong.

“All you have to do is check the order of names on the ticket stub from last night and you’ll see who’s confused,” he wrote. “Against my better judgment, over the objections fo my team and 4 other occasions where I said NO, I decided to take a chance and work with Monique. Oprah was the problem, Tyler Perry was the problem, Charlamagne was the problem, Steve Harvey was the problem, Lee Daniels was the problem, Netflix was the problem…Now it’s MY turn. At some point it can’t be everyone else, IT’S YOU!!! Lesson learned.”

“I didn’t have anything personal against Monique…People paid a lot of money to laugh, not hear about your contract. Apparently, the role you played in PRECIOUS turned out to be an autobiography. I wonder who’s next…”

He also signed his Instagram post with his full name, Darryl Lynn Hughley.

Bossip also writes how Hughley gave fans the receipts that his contract actually showed he was the closer, not her.

“I got everything that was stated in my contract…everything. But let’s say I didn’t. My beef wouldn’t be with anyone but the promoter and/or my team and I damn sure wouldn’t make it personal,” he wrote. “If you have a problem, take it up with management and by that I mean yours.”

Mo’Nique posted her own version of the contract, which came from Hicks Media Inc., her and her husband’s company. While she claimed her version of the contract was the only one that was active, calling the contract Hughley posted a “Deal Memo,” Hughley responded, writing that her contract isn’t, in so many words, legally binding.

Kenya Barris, one of the many celebrities following this story, wrote in the comments section, “I’m so petty. This is bringing me so much entertainment.”

We’ll see if the saga will continue.
