Astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson has fallen under scrutiny since being accused of sexual misconduct by two women.  In the wake of these recent allegations, National Geographic has pulled StarTalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson from its schedule.

In an exclusive from Variety, the science channel officially made the pull three weeks into its fifth season. For those familiar, two women have accused Tyson of sexual misconduct. Ashley Watson, who served as Tyson’s former assistant, said the astrophysicist made inappropriate remarks and tried to coerce her into sex, prompting her to resign. In addition, Dr. Katelyn Allers, an astronomy professor at Bucknell University, stated the Cosmos groped her at a 2009 meeting of the American Astronomical Society

Tyson has since denied the allegations on Facebook.

“In order to allow the investigation to occur unimpeded we chose to hold new episodes of Star Talk until it is complete,” National Geographic said in a statement. “We expect that to happen in the next few weeks at which time we’ll make a final decision.”
