Some set photos from a project we profiled earlier this year, which finally got off the ground, thanks to a round of financial backing by Ottawa-based film financier Telefilm Canada, as we revealed in a follow-up post over the summer, making it, in effect, a Canadian production.
Laurence Fishburne stars in the sci-fi thriller titled The Colony, which is currently in production in Toronto, after snagging $2.3 million from Telefilm Canada.
The Jeff Renfroe directed film, which he co-wrote with Patrick Tarr, Pacal Trottier and Svet Rouskov, centers on a group of underground survivors fighting to survive after the next Ice Age, fending off an invasion of feral cannibals.
Bill Paxton co-stars with Fishburne.
