According to the New York Post Page Six Jennifer Hudson has been having trouble trying to sell publishers her proposal for a weight loss book. Both Hudson and her William Morris agent, Mel Berger, have been trying in vain for some time to sell the book about her weight struggles, and how she eventually lost 80 pounds, going from a size 16 to a size 8.

Though the upfront asking price for the book is $1 million, every publisher has held out on the offer, telling Hudson and Berger, bluntly, that, for that asking price, they want more than an weight loss book.

They want a story about how she dealt with the murder of members of her family, including her mother, older brother and 7 year old nephew, allegedly by her brother-in-law in Chicago, on October 2008.

According to one insider “It was disappointing. Her book about her diet is really appealing and wonderful. But if you spend a lot of money on the book deal, you want it to sell. With no talk of her family, we didn’t think it was worth it.

Yes, that’s cold and ruthless, but that’s show biz folks!
