The premise of Severance Season 2 is interesting, to say the least.
The supernatural-flavored television show has proven to be a bonafide hit for Apple TV+ and focuses on the employees of the fictional Lumon Industries.
But these employees aren’t just your everyday middle managers.
Rather, the Lumon Industries employees have undergone a procedure that separates their business memories from their personal memories.
Directed by Ben Stiller and featuring an all-star cast, season 2 of the show was confirmed last week by the streamer ahead of the finale.
“It’s really exciting to see the response from people who are loving the show — and the level of fan engagement,” Stiller said in a statement received by S&A. “It has been a long road bringing Severance to television. I first read Dan [Erickson]’s pilot over five years ago. It has always been a multi-season story, and I’m really happy we get to continue it. I’m grateful to our partners at Apple TV+ who have been behind it the whole way. Praise Keir!”
And though the second season doesn’t have an official premiere date, the returning cast was confirmed in the season 2 announcement.
Let’s take a look at the cast who has been confirmed to return to Severance Season 2 — and we’ll keep you posted on any future announcements!
As can be expected, Adam Scott will be returning to Severance Season 2 to reprise his role as Mark Scout, the team lead at Lumon Industries whose employees have undergone a strange procedure that fragments their memories into their personal and professional lives. Prior to his role on Severance, Scott was known for his roles in such films as Step Brothers and in such television shows as Big Little Lies and Parks and Recreation.
A bonafide acting legend, Oscar winner Christopher Walken will be returning to Severance Season 2 as Burt. Walken’s acting credits span several decades, and include roles in films like The Deer Hunter, Catch Me If You Can and True Romance.
John Turturro will also be returning to Severance season 2, and he’ll be reprising his role of Irving. A longtime character actor, Turturro has had roles in such films as Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing and on such television shows as Miami Vice.
Patricia Arquette — a member of the Arquette family of actors — will also be returning to Severance season 2. She’ll be reprising her role of Harmony Cobel. Arquette’s credits include roles in such films as Stigmata and in such television shows as Boardwalk Empire.
Rising star Britt Lower will also be returning to Severance Season 2. She’ll be reprising her role as Helly. Prior to her role on Severance, she had bit parts on such television shows as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Though best known for his roles on Duncanville and Crashing, Zach Cherry will be returning to Severance season 2 as Dylan.
Though his breakthrough role is as Milchick on Severance, Tramell Tillman — who will be returning for the show’s second season — has also had roles in such television shows as Elementary, Dietland, and The Godfather of Harlem (opposite Forrest Whittaker).
Dichen Lachman — who was previously seen on such shows as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Animal Kingdom — will be reprising her role of Ms. Casey on Severance season 2.
