If you're waiting to see what Oscar winner Octavia Spencer will do next on the big screen you won't have much longer to wait. Sony Classics has announced that it has picked up, for worldwide distrubition, the film Smashed which premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival in which Spencer has a major supporting role

The film was directed by James Ponsoldt and stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Aaron Paul and Megan Mullally and centers around a married couple and their problems battling the bottle.
