Michael B. Jordan has lined up yet another project.

He and director Jennifer Yuh Nelson are attached to the film, A Bittersweet Life, which will be a remake of the 2005 Korean film of the same name.

According to Deadline, “Jordan will play a mobster whose longtime loyalties to his crime family are challenged when his boss orders him to kill a mistress he’s recently grown close to. The filmmakers see this as a high-concept, character-driven genre film with franchise potential.”

Jordan has Black Panther coming up in February 2018. He also has HBO’s Fahrenheit 451, Creed 2 and is set for Wrong Answer, directed by Ryan Coogler and written by Ta-Nehsi Coates. Wednesday, we announced he is executive producing a coming-of-age drama for the Oprah Winfrey Network with Moonlight writer Tarell Alvin McCraney.

Nelson is mostly known for her working in animation, directing Kung Fu Panda 2 (Oscar-nominated here) and Kung Fu Panda 3. Her live-action debut will be with Fox’s The Darkest Minds, starring Amandla Stenberg.

No word on when production begins or a tentative release date.
