Upfronts season is officially in full swing. NBC kicked off the season by ordering a pair of pilots to series Monday. Now, The CW has ordered three pilots: Riverdale spinoff Katy Keene, DC Comics series Batwoman and a television adaptation of Nancy Drew.

The status of the remaining pilots at The CW are as follows: The Damon Wayans Jr.-produced Glamorous is still in contention and a decision could be announced later this week. The Lost Boys will be redeveloped and shot for a third time. The Jane the Virgin pseudo-spinoff, Jane the Novela has been passed over.

Here’s more about the three new series coming this fall and the Black talent in them:

Katy Keene

This will be the second Riverdale spinoff following Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Ashleigh Murray is set to officially exit Riverdale to join this New York-set spinoff, set a few years after the events of Riverdale.

The series, toplined by Lucy Hale, is from Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Murray currently plays Josie McCoy (of Josie & The Pussycats) on Riverdale. While she was series regular on the parent show, she did not receive that much airtime and story development for her character in comparison to the core four of Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica. On Katy Keene, Murray is expected to be the second-billed star behind Hale. Lucien Laviscount and Camille Hyde co-star as well. More on their characters here.

The description: The show follows four Archie Comics characters, including Josie and the title character, future fashion icon Katy Keene, as they pursue their twenty-something dreams in New York City. The musical dramedy will chronicle the origins and struggles of the four aspiring artists who are trying to make it on Broadway, on the runway and in the recording studio.

Batwoman way a lock heading into pilot season, as an episode that introduced Ruby Rose as the lesbian superhero Kate Kane in the Elseworlds crossover episode for The CW’s DC Comics shows (sans Black Lightning, which is not in the Arrowverse right now). The Sun is Also a Star’s Camrus Johnson will play Luke Fox, the business manager of Bruce Wayne. Meagan Tandy will be Sophie Moore, a former lover of Kane from West Point.

Nancy Drew

After several attempts, a new Nancy Drew series is finally making its way to television. Newcomer Kennedy McMann plays the titular character who gets involved with a “ghostly murder investigation” after a family tragedy the summer after her high school graduation. British actor Tunji Kasim is the male lead alongside McMann, and Alvina August is also a regular alongside Freddie Prinze, Jr., Maddison Jaizani, Alex Saxon and Pamela Sue Martin (the original Nancy Drew).

Look for first trailers for all of these shows to drop next week either before or shortly after The CW’s Upfronts presentation.
