Underground creator Misha Green has been tapped to write and produce a remake of the 1973 blaxploitation film Cleopatra Jones, which has landed at Warner Bros.

The original film starred Tamara Dobson as ” the undercover government agent who used the day job of supermodel as her cover and an excuse to travel to exotic places.”

According to Deadline, who reported the news, this film will center Jones as a female heroine similar to James Bond.

This is the latest project set up for Green, who created the recently-canceled Underground. She’s also developing a HBO series, Lovecraft, with JJ Abrams and Jordan Peele, and is writing and producing the Netflix film, Mother.

Just to name a few: A Shaft film reboot is in the works starring Jessie T. Usher, Meagan Good is starring in a Foxy Brown reboot for Hulu, a Get Christie Love is in the works from Power creator Courtney Kemp, and just this week, Sony announced they were remaking Super Fly.
