Red Guerrilla Entertainment, a Black indie film company in based in Chicago, has signed a multi-million dollar deal with OC Consulting.

The deal entails that RGE will create seven films over the next four years, with the company receiving $20 million to cover the cost of the first three films. Mykelti Williamson and Mekhi Phifer are also expected to collaborate with RGE on some of the films within the deal.

The first of the seven films, North of The 10, will start production in Chicago in January and will be produced by RGE president and founder Rhyan LaMarr as well as Elijah Long, Chris Jennings, LaRoyce Hawkins, and Erika Jacobsen. LaMarr will also executive produce alongside Don Benjamin, RGE CEO and co-owner Bishop Eric D. Garnes, Jabari Rayford and Andre Burgess. Hawkins, Benjamin, Destorm Power, Chris Witaske, Adam W., King Bach and Wes “Wuz Good” Armstrong are in final talks to star.

We learned that successful entrepreneurs today build their doors into the industry on a solid foundation.”
