Last summer, Sony/Screen Gems greenlit a sequel to the box office smash Think Like A Man, with producer Will Packer back at the helm, likely with Tim Story back in the director’s chair.
The film grossed over $91 million on a $12 million budget, so a sequel was a no-brainer.
The studio has now given the film a title – Think Like a Man Too (I’m not really digging that title, by the way. Hopefully this is just a working title and won’t be the final). A release date has also been set for May 30, 2014.
Of course that could change between now and then.
Lots of questions to be answered here, like: will the entire cast return? What will the story (or stories) follow? Will Tim Story return to direct?
We know that Will Packer will return to produce via his Rainforest Films shingle, with partner Rob Hardy, and Steve Harvey (who wrote the book the first film was based on) returning to executive produce.
Writers Keith Merryman and David A. Newman who wrote the first one will do the same for the sequel.
No date as to when production will begin, although with a May 30, 2014 release date set, it should shoot before the end of this year.
