Here’s the just released trailer for Martin Scorsese’s upcoming fantasy children 3D movie Hugo based on the children’s book The Invention of Hugo Cabret.

Originally that was also the title for the film, until the studio just simplified it to Hugo because, reportedly, studio brass were afraid that people wouldn’t know how to pronounce “Cabret”, and that it sounded “too French” if you know what I mean.

However I’m assuming (more like hoping) that the film will be better than this trailer because, judging from it, it looks like a pretty routine, generic children’s film. We shall see this Thanksgiving.
