I’m surprised we haven’t talked much about this film/musical. We posted a teaser back in February of last year, and since then, it has screened at UrbanWorld Film Fest and a few other venues.
You, Me & The Circus, written and directed by Ty Hodges and produced by Omar Epps (Brooklyn WorksFilms), stars Hodges, Matt Dallas, Anita Briem, Melonie Diaz, among others. It also features cameo appearances by Marlon Wayans, Omar Epps, and Columbus Short.
According to Hodges, the film will be released on VOD this fall via GoDigital.
Synopsis:
You, Me & The Circus" is a fantasy, drama, musical in the vein of some the great writer/directors of screen and stage, Frederico Fellini (8 1/2), and Bob Fosse (All That Jazz, Chicago, & Cabaret). "You, Me & The Circus" is an intimate story about four people falling in and out of love told over an afternoon of intense conversation, soul searching, and new discoveries revealed on a journey leading to an undeniable truth.
I'm intrigued by what I see. I'll keep you updated on the exact release date as it becomes available.
