A son’s touching tribute to his late father that would probably be better-suited for Father’s Day (June 15 this year); so I’m about 2 weeks early. But you can rewatch it on Father’s Day if you’d like…
Titled Hello Benjamin, the film comes from filmmaker Solomon Shadrach Turner – his senior project at Oberlin College – whose father (Benjamin) died in 1990, when Solomon was just a kid; A kid who so obviously loved and, as he states in the film, wanted to not just be like his father, but to be his father.
Sadly, he never really got to know his father well because he died young.
