It's finally arrived fans of the series!

The new chapter in the Battlestar saga – Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chromea prequel to the reimagined Battlestar Galactica series, which co-stars Canadian actors Karen Leblanc (Nurse.Fighter.Boy, Defying Gravity, High Chicago) and Adrian Holmes (Frankie & Alice, Red Riding Hood) as Jenna and Lt. Decklan Elias, respectively.

As Emmanuel noted about a year ago, the SyFy network eventually settled on releasing Blood and Chrome as a web series, in ten 12-minute acts, instead of as a TV show.

However, it's since been revealed that the series will eventually make it to the SyFy channel, in one two-hour uncut broadcast premiere, but not until February 2013. It'll also be released unrated on Blu-ray & DVD also in February, after its TV debut. 

Following the release of an official trailer, episode 1 of Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome was released on YouTube via Machinima, today, and it's embedded below.

Set in the tenth year of the First Cylon War, the story follows William Adama as a young man, with the call sign "Husker." William, being a recent Academy graduate, is assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. He is ordered to escort a young woman, who eventually turns out to have vital information that carries significant importance to certain Cylon secrets. The routine mission eventually turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal part in their story.

In episode 1 below, Ensign William Adama finds himself assigned to the newest Battlestar in the colonial fleet and a new callsign from his war weary co-pilot, Coker.
