Ya know, I’m thinking that Will Smith must really be considering taking the starring role in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. I say that because he reportedly got the script late last week, and, about 7 days later, there’s still no word on whether he’s accepted Tarantino’s offer.

I’d think that if he’d read the script (which I’m making the major assumption that he has by now), and wasn’t at all interested in doing the film, he would likely have said so almost immediately. But the fact that it’s been drawn out this long tells me that he IS at least considering it, and they might be “talking” about the financials right now. I expect we’ll hear something about this sooner than later.

Anyway… one thing we do know at the moment is that Will (who’s currently in NYC shooting Men In Black III, and causing all kinds of commotion from the locals with his 2-story, 1150-foot, $9,000 a week trailer) and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, are reportedly Oprah’s guests on the final episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show, which is scheduled to air on May 25th – exactly 2 weeks from today.

TV Guide says that other guests will likely be on that episode as well, however, at the moment, the Hollywood power couple are the only names currently on the guest list.

And, by the way, as previously reported, the asking price for a 30-second ad spot in that final episode is a cool $1 million! What do you Shadow And Act readers, can we pull together that much loot so that we can run a 30-second S&A commercial on Oprah? 🙂
