Following a viral story centered on Drake's recent trip to a Los Angeles McDonald's, the fast food company's PR team clarified the nature of the rapper's reported generosity. Twitter user AJ tweeted that the former Degrassi actor tipped two McDonald's employees $10,000 each on Saturday morning.

"Just saw Drake in McDonald’s … crazy," the tweeter wrote. "And he gave two female employees $10,000 each … in cash."

But the corporation clarified that while Drake was indeed in a giving mood, it wasn't to the extent initially believed. According to Us, he still paid it forward but actually gave each worker $100 each, not $10,000.

The two female employees' identities aren't known and they have yet to speak out, but AOL reports receipts have been produced. When another user replied "Are you serious?," AJ uploaded this little bit of photographic evidence:

The rapper apparently has a thing for McDonald's. XXL reports Drake provided McDonald's catering to everyone in attendance at the after-party for the L.A. stop of his tour.

President Trump echoed this gesture during the government shutdown, Blavity reported, putting Drake and the president neck-and-neck as for who has the biggest McDonald's fixation.

Drake made waves in 2018 by giving away tons of money in his "God's Plan" music video, as Blavity reported.
