With all of the heartbreaking news we've consumed over the past few weeks, we are surely in need of the ray of sunshine that is Sidney Keys, III.

In November 2017, the 12-year-old launched Books N Bros, a book club for other young black boys. He now has a new project up his sleeve.

The St. Louis native has a passion for both books and looks. He's been selected by New York City-based fashion company KIDBOX, to join its game-changing Kids Board of Directors. Sidney, along with 12 other young entrepreneurs, kicked off their tenure on Wednesday, July 25.

"What excites me most is being able to make an even bigger change in my community with KIDBOX," the young fashion connoisseur told Blavity. "I am excited to bring awareness of KIDBOX to boys who look like me and for kids in general in my community that can hopefully benefit from KIDBOX and have access to quality clothing."

Inspired by his mother Winnie Elizabeth's hard work and tenacity, he's able to juggle his book club venture with this fall's upcoming fashion adventures.

"I wouldn't have been able to make it this far without her," Keys said.

The Kids Board of Directors will provide feedback on back-to-school fall and winter kids' fashion using their expertise and experience.

"Fashion allows me to be creative and never limits me," he added.

Keep shining, Sidney! We can't wait to see what you do next.
