Ari Lennox still feels bad about the hurtful comments she made toward Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King in 2020. Lennox, who apologized at that time after saying the two media legends are tearing down Black men, is once again showing remorse for the profanity-laced tirade she unleashed on Instagram Live three years ago. “I sincerely apologize to Oprah and Gayle,” Lennox tweeted on Friday. “Y’all legends didn’t deserve that wretched ignorant live.”

The “Bussit” singer was furious in 2020 when King interviewed WNBA legend Lisa Leslie shortly after the untimely death of Kobe Bryant, as Blavity previously reported. Lennox didn’t appreciate how King tried to pressure Leslie into talking about the sexual assault allegations Bryant faced back in 2003. The 32-year-old singer dragged King and lifelong bestie Oprah on Instagram Live. “F**k Gayle and f**k Oprah. Y’all are some self-hating pieces of s**t f**k asses,” she said. “I have never seen a coon more f**king coonier than got damn kale and okra. I’m over y’all. I don’t give a f**k how rich y’all are, how much you f**king accomplish. Y’all are tearing down the legacies of so many phenomenal beautiful Black men and I don’t f**king have time for it.”

Lennox issued a statement a short time later, saying she didn’t mean to hurt anyone. “I swear to god i be meaning well. I’m not the most structured when i start talking and that has been a blessing and curse,” she wrote. “I’ve grown too comfortable with viewing my supporters as my bestie that I can freely vent to with no repercussions.”

Lennox just wrapped up her Age/Sex/Location tour in Europe, according to Revolt. The Grammy-nominated artist performed at a sold-out concert in London on May 16, joined by a surprise visit from J.Cole.

In December, Lennox announced that the Age/Sex/Location tour will be her last, Uproxx reported. “I love my genuine fans so much and can’t wait to give you my all every night!!” she tweeted. “Europe, I love you, but unfortunately, there will not be a tour due to reasons out of my control. Happy holidays.”
