This graduation season has been full of stories surrounding students getting removed from stage, or manhandled for celebrating one of their greatest achievements – getting that degree!
Incidences involved a University of Florida graduation usher who physically grabbed black students who were celebrating with traditional sorority and fraternity strolls, and forcefully ‘corrected’ their behavior.
Meanwhile, Clark Atlanta University, a Historically Black University in Atlanta, Georgia, took this opportunity to doing a little advert, and throw a little shade by fueling the great PWI v. HBCU debate.
“Tired of PWIs fining you or not letting you step or shimmy when you graduate? come to #CAU… #HBCU,” the Clark Atlanta University Twitter account posted.
