Tuesday, May 1, was a decisive day for Kanye West fans as he ascended to new levels of tomfoolery. He appeared on TMZ to give the rundown on his "free thinking" movement, and, in the process, successfully offended all of Black America, both present and ancestral, when he suggested slavery was "a choice."

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years?! That sounds like a choice,” West said. “Like you was there for 400 years and it’s all of y'all?”

In true Black Twitter fashion, the best way to deal with the situation was to laugh at our pain. The #IfSlaveryWasAChoice tag took a humorous and satirical approach to Kanye's, and it's not letting up anytime soon.

While Blavity already reported on the first round of these ridiculously hilarious tweets, we had to revisit it because Twitter is just too good:

While we can make anything funny, it's still time for Kanye to be quiet until further notice.
