Every Halloween, celebrities make an impression by stepping out in their costumes. From pop culture references to elaborate makeup looks, it is a time of year that fans never miss. Ice Spice dressed up as Betty Boop with the character’s signature red mini dress, gold bangles and 1930s jet-black hair. Her mother, Charina Almanzar, garnished the attention of her daughter’s fan base as well.

She opted for a Wednesday Addams costume, a character that has remained iconic for her black wardrobe, two braids and a gruesome sense of humor. Almanzar went viral after a video of her dancing to Lady Gaga’s “Bloody Mary” at a party was posted online.

Netflix’s hit TV series Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega in the titular role, became a pop culture phenomenon after its release in November 2022. The show was especially popular among Gen Z, who shared clips of Ortega’s prom dance scene with Lady Gaga’s song as a sound on TikTok. The show aired after Halloween in 2022 — making Wednesday a popular costume this time around.

Almanzar has been publicly supportive of her daughter’s career in the music industry. This summer, she posted a video of herself lip-syncing and bobbing her head along to Ice Spice’s single, “Deli,” after its release. The Bronx rapper shared with Apple Music that her mother supports her EP cover art.

“Mom’s a baddie, so she knows what it is,” she said.
