Perhaps we've been listening to Migos allwrong because according to the American Music Awards (AMAs), they're a rock group.
Tuesday night marked the 2018 AMAs, and while singers like Taylor Swift and Camila Cabello taking home four awards each surprised absolutely no one, the definition of "pop" and "rock" certainly did. According to the awards, artists like Migos, Cardi B and Drake all fall in the Pop/Rock category. Even more surprising was Migos winning "Favourite Duo or Group" in that category.

As one would imagine, some people were quite irritated and confused that the Atlanta rappers won in a category many feel did not belong to them.
