The father of the perpetually adorable McClure twins is the current center of attention after someone discovered a few racist tweets from his past.

Justin McClure used to be an aspiring comedian, and before his daughters' fame, the McClure twin Twitter account was formerly his comedy account. He deleted the tweets, but as we all know, screenshots are forever. After MissZindzi's tweets, other folks uncovered more problematic tweets. McClure appeared to be quite fond of making fun of black women, in particular.

"Dominican women I know: Ilia, Awilda, Janitsy, Zora. Black women I know: Chandelier, Lasagna, Constellation, Walgreens #whenblackpeoplegetpaid," he wrote in one of the tweets.

McClure claimed the tweets were before he met his wife and gave a half-assed apology. He blamed the tweets on being a "womanizer" and "drunk":

However, the most recent tweets were from 2014. McClure's twin daughters were born in July 2013.

McClure posted an apology video, co-starring his wife and son, to attempt to explain the tweets further. His wife, Ami, appears to be standing by her man.

"What I dislike is people always brandishing things as someone being racist. Were they bad jokes? Absolutely, but is he racist? I mean, really?" she said.

McClure said he wouldn't answer any more comments and directed people to his wife if they had something to say.

Just a few weeks ago, the family went viral after he posted a picture of them in Nigerian inspired garb on Instagram:

We hope he's changed for the children's sake.
