William Jonathan Drayton Jr, better known as Flavor Flav, is one of the world’s best-known hypemen. Importantly, he’s become an adored social media figure in recent years. During a hiatus from music, Flav joined the cast of VH1’s The Surreal Life during its third season, which debuted on September 5, 2004. During the series, his love life became a focal point when he sparked a relationship with castmate Brigitte Nielsen. The unlikely romance helped spawn the spin-off Strange Love, which premiered on January 9, 2005. The show was an instant hit, with the first episode appropriately titled The Flavor of Love, which would become the name of Flav’s starring series.

His cult classic was introduced on January 1, 2006, showing Flav’s attempt to find a girlfriend among the 20 contestants. The show would get two more seasons and still remains one of VH1’s most successful series.
