We linked up with Dominique Taylor, a Storytelling freelancer in Brooklyn, NY She’s telling stories through words, photographs, dance, and film, and having a passionate affair with her dreams. Check out her review of First,  a web series about falling in love.

It’s only been a few weeks, but already I’m feigning for Season 2 of First, the extraordinary series that chronicles where and how romance begins for couples. Robin is a writer, Charles a teacher, and the two childhood classmates rekindle affections that leave viewers salivating after each episode. It’s beautiful, from the writing, to the direction, to the acting… this series respects the craft of storytelling, pure and simple. I can’t stop thinking about it. So much so, that though I’m supposed to be reading or writing my damn self right now, I am instead making .gifs to remember the moments that stole my heart.

Like when Charles was reciting Robert Frost…

Beloved, my heart.

And when Robin just gave all of us writers our life…

…especially when that certain person is on your mind and you’re struggling with 500 words but “Hey.” is the only one you need.first-robin-phone4

And when Robin and Charles were being all new in love.

And all the reading they do, you guys!

I’m here for this series, always and forever like Luther would say (or Heatwave if that’s your lane) and creator/actress Jahmela Biggs gets all the props for getting me in my feels. Trust, she’s going on the August edition of Women Who Write! Have you watched First, yet? If you have share the love below and the moments that made you swoon. And beloveds, if you have not, please collect your life and get to YouTube now.
