Marvel’s “Black Panther” was the perfect mix of ‘For the Culture’ and jokes. In the movie, T’Challa and Princess Shuri balance as royalty and Wakandan protectors as T’Challa embraces the power of the Black Panther and Shuri develops the country’s vibranium-endorsed technology. But as a brother and sister, sometimes the serious tone of heroes disappears and it gets back to a little sibling roast session.

One of the most popular lines in the film centers around T’Challa entering Shuri’s lab, and Shuri cannot help but shout, “What are those!” at her brother’s sandals.

When developing characterization, director Ryan Cooler crafted this scene not only for its lighthearted nature, but also as a way of establishing Shuri’s connection to the internet.

“The idea with Shuri is that she rarely leaves Wakanda,” Coogler told HuffPost. “She’s connected to the outside world through the internet, through youth culture on the internet.”

However, not everyone found this funny, including the creator of the “What are those?” line, which stemmed from a video uploaded on Vine. The creator, Busco, otherwise known as Brandon Moore, was disgusted by the scene and said he was ‘sick as f*ck’ hearing it in the film.

“When I saw the scene, my girl was trying to record it in the theatre” Busco told HuffPost. “I slapped the phone out of her hand, because I was like, ‘I don’t want to fucking be a part of this.’”

“Every time I see that shit, I get depressed," he said.

Originally, the video featured a moment in which Busco approached an officer who was arresting his friend Myesha. While filming the scene, Busco yelled, “Officer, I’ve got one question for you… What are those?”

The line traveled like wildfire, accumulating over 40 million loops and prompting internet users to create memes, videos and gifs based on it.

Busco, however, is upset because he never took the opportunity to capitalize on his creation. Most do not even know what he looks like.

“I be depressed every time knowing I didn’t full court press on an opportunity that I created,” he told HuffPost

In the future, Busco admits that in the future he will put a watermark on his videos, copyright the content, and put his face in the video.
