If you thought white people calling the police on Black people for no reason was left in 2018, you were wrong.

Franklin Baxley was at Attleboro Dog Park in Massachusetts on Wednesday when his pitbull began to hump another animal.

“I visit this park twice a day and all the dogs get excited when a new one is here,” Baxley told Yahoo. “When the woman came in, my dog Dusse ran over and humped hers, so I immediately removed him and apologized, explaining that he’s a puppy.”

When the puppy did it again, the other owner, a white woman, got in her feelings.

“She said, ‘I think you need to leave because your dog keeps doing that,'” Baxley continued. “I said I wasn’t leaving, and she took out her phone and called 911. It escalated quick.”

Baxley caught the exchange on tape, and it was a typical BBQ Becky situation. The woman has now been dubbed "Dog Park Debbie."

Carol Cobb Ferraro, a park employee, tried to intervene but ultimately wasn’t very helpful.

“You cannot allow your dog to aggressively hump another dog,” the employee told Baxley.

A police officer arrived and told Baxley he could be ticketed for leaving his car running, according to The Sun Chronicle.

The dog owner believes the incident was racially motivated.

“If I were not Black, she would not have felt threatened by me talking to her and defying her orders for me to leave the park,” Baxley told the Daily Mail. “It was about race if you ask me, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this woman does this to just about anyone as she seems a little off.”

No charges were filed against Baxley.
