What better way to close out 2018 than with a list of music, movies and books curated by one of the most admired people in the country?
Forever President Barack Obama ceremoniously delivered his list of 2018 favorites just in time for the new year. In a post shared via his Instagram page, the suave 57-year-old continued the tradition that dates back to his days in office.
"As 2018 draws to a close, I’m continuing a favorite tradition of mine and sharing my year-end lists. It gives me a moment to pause and reflect on the year through the books, movies and music that I found most thought-provoking, inspiring, or just plain loved," he wrote.
The list that was shared throughout social media and includes fan favorites like the Becoming memoir by wife Michelle Obama, which he stated was "obviously" his favorite book. He also listed songs like "Apes**t" by The Carters and "I Like It" by Cardi B and the Black Panther and BlacKkKlansman movies.
"It also gives me a chance to highlight talented authors, artists and storytellers – some who are household names and others who you may not have heard of before. Here’s my best of 2018 list – I hope you enjoy reading, watching and listening," Obama continued.
Twenty-year-old songstress H.E.R reposted the favorite song list on her Instagram page featuring her hit record "Could've Been" featuring Bryson Tiller.
"Look mama i made it ???? thank you @barackobama," she captioned.
Earlier this year Obama, shared a list of his top five summer reads which helped us manage our post-presidency nostalgia.
