A book imagining former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden solving mysteries together while living out their widely adored bromance has hit the shelves.

As Quartzy reported, New York Times best-selling author Andrew Shaffer's 300-page fan fiction novel, Hope Never Dies, was released this month.

On Schaffer's website, he describes the novel as a mystery thriller that "reunites Vice President Joe Biden and President Barack Obama for a political mashup full of suspense, intrigue and laugh out loud bromance."

Hope Never Dies details a fictional story in which Biden learns his favorite railroad conductor has died in a "suspicious accident" shortly after the 2016 presidential election, Shaffer's website states. The former vice president then enlists Obama to unravel the mystery in the novel described as "part noir thriller and part bromance."

Shaffer writes that the book, released by Quirk Books, can serve as a relief for anyone “distressed by the current state of affairs.”
