After Roseanne Barr showcased her bigotry with an unwarranted attack on former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett via Twitter, ABC has decided to cancel the Roseanne revival nobody wanted.
On Tuesday morning (May 29), Barr, a Trump supporter, commented on an article about Julian Assage and Barack Obama. After one user referenced Jarrett in the comments, the 65-year-old then insulted the former White House staff member's appearance.
“muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,” Barr tweeted.
Hours after social media ensured Barr be held accountable for her evident bigotry, ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey released a statement announcing the show would be canceled. And like most of us, social media went ha-ha.
But one meme has truly taken the cake and it comes from none other than our favorite screw-up.
We don't know exactly who is behind the brilliance, but dammit, it's clever. Here were some of the other reactions to Tuesday's heartening cancellation:

Roseanne came for Chelsey Clinton & Valerie Jarrett, & the cancel jumped out.

The strategists:
Recast Roseanne with Wanda Sykes and go on like nothing has changed. Lmao— Olivia (@PartyCatOlivia) May 29, 2018
Maybe the cast of Roseanne can still make it to the Starbucks anti-racism training since they were fired so early.— M’BlockU (@rodimusprime) May 29, 2018
But don't get Twitter all the way twisted because there was sympathy:
i do feel bad for all the people now out of a job because their star decided to be a full blown racist on twitter today…— chuck[ie] (@iGiveNoChuck) May 29, 2018
May we have this happy dance?:

The realization that life comes at you fast:
Roseanne called a black woman an ape during breakfast and was out of a job by the end of lunch.— G (@MrGChristopher) May 29, 2018
Once a bigot, always a bigot:
Roseanne blocked me years ago after calling me a faggot when I was 18. She’s always been scum. pic.twitter.com/Zo8cDidfxG— Benjamin O'Keefe (@benjaminokeefe) May 29, 2018
And the realization that maybe America ain't so soulless after all. OK, that's a reach but ABC came through with this one.
