Update (January 15, 2020): The New York City teenager who went missing last Thursday has been located. It is unclear what exactly took place during the time of her disappearance reports CBS New York.
Original story (January 13, 2020): A 14-year-old girl has gone missing after she was last seen in Brooklyn, New York, riding the train on Thursday.
Jenna Hospedales was riding the G Train at Fulton Street after leaving Brooklyn Technical High School when she disappeared around 3 p.m. New York police have been searching for the high school freshman since her disappearance, WABC reports.
“We all have kids and it’s our worst fear and nightmare,” search volunteer Norman Mah said.
"I would hope that people would help me as well. That’s it. Our heart just goes out to the family. Let’s hope that we find her soon,” another volunteer Sarah Bupp added.
Family and friends have been searching for Hospedales and passing out flyers in the city.
“She is not a child who is super on social media. She’s not a child that dates. She’s not a child that has a wild side. She has never left home, so we are extremely concerned,” cousin Crystal Hospedales said. “We will not stop until she is back home safely,”
Crystal is helping to lead the efforts searching for her cousin.
NYPD tweeted a picture of the 14-year-old on Thursday causing social media to reshare the post. Some concerned neighbors showed up at the family's Crown Heights apartment after the news of Jenna's disappearance.

Although CNN reported investigators don't believe she was abducted, a friend of the family said there have been few clues around Hospedales' disappearance.
"We are kind of in the dark about what has happened. It makes it even more frightening," Niama Sandy told Blavity.
Sandy said an Amber Alert has not been issued because of the lack of evidence at the time.
The high school freshman's mom, Jennelle Hospedales, said she is desperate for her daughter to come home safe.
"I hope she comes home. That’s all I want I want, my baby home,” Jennelle said.
Hospedales is described as 5'8" tall, 118 pounds and wearing blue jeans and a black jacket. She has a thin build, brown eyes, dark skin and black hair.
