The historic $1.6 billion Powerball may have finally reached its end.
A Tennessee couple came forward as one of three winners for the jackpot. The thing is, Tennessee lottery officials haven’t confirmed any winning tickets. John and Lisa Robinson appeared on TODAY, per their attorney’s advice, to address the public first before becoming private millionaires.
Mr. Robinson says he opted for a computer pick for Wednesday night’s drawing: 4, 8, 19, 27, 34 and Powerball 10. A winning combination, indeed.
While some not so lucky Powerball participants are trying to make financial amends for their gambling ways, the jackpot is set to be divvied up by all who are verified to have won. If the Robinsons are truly winners, they’ll be sharing their earnings three ways.
The other two winning tickets were sold in Florida and California.
Florida’s jackpot winning #POWERBALL ticket was purchased at Publix on Highway A1A in Melbourne Beach! Still no word on who the winner is…
