A Cincinnati high school principal reportedly called a Black student a "n****r" and continues to roam about school hallways carefree.

According to The Cincinnati Enquirer, Kings High School principal Doug Leist allegedly referred to a student as a "n****r" on multiple occasions and used the racial slur in a staff meeting.

In January, the school's basketball team came under fire for sporting jerseys with racial slurs such as "Coon" and "Knee Grow," prompting Leist to hold a staff meeting where he directly used "n****r," WLWT reports.

The Black student sent an email claiming Leist asked him about a song they had planned to perform at a pep rally.

"Does the song say 'n—a'?" the student said Leist asked him.

"He could've easily said 'the N-word' or 'inappropriate language,' and I would have got the point," the student wrote.  "I was extremely uncomfortable."

Not only did he not get reprimanded, but superintendent Tim Ackermann also defended the principal's usage of the word.

"We're learning that even using it specifically, there were still people offended by it," Ackermann noted, "and we have to learn from that."

Ackermann said Leist has since apologized to the Black student.

"We know in our hearts we're not racist administrators," said Ackermann.
