In the latest incident of airline passengers throwing a tantrum after being told to wear a mask, a couple on a JetBlue flight were seen on video becoming angry with safety guidelines and engaged in an altercation with crew members. The incident happened on a flight from Fort Lauderdale to San Diego on Wednesday, ABC 10 News reports

One witness, identifying herself only as Alice, said she first saw the man and another woman, who appeared to be drunk, boarding the plane with two children. Alice, who recorded video of the incident, added that the woman was wobbling on the plane.

“I was boarding right behind the lady, the blonde lady, and she was just like dancing around, taking boomerangs with her two children,” the witness told ABC 10 News.

JetBlue said the problem started after the couple was asked multiple times to properly wear their masks before takeoff. Alice backed the company's statement, saying the couple refused to properly put masks on their children.

“On the way into the plane itself, the flight attendant actually asked her to tighten her son’s mask. It was like very loose and very big for him. So, they didn’t do that either,” she said. "Her husband walked down the aisle to the outside of the plane. Then this whole mess just started happening. When he came back, he just started yelling at the flight attendant.”

Alice's video shows the man engaging in a physical tussle with an airline employee at the beginning of the footage. He then proceeds to unleash his rant, saying he had to wait four hours for the flight and he was only given one warning before he was kicked off the plane.

The pair is also heard in the clip repeatedly cursing at the crew.

The woman said her son had his mask down for a brief time. She continued to vent, saying they tried to comply with the rules but the flight attendants weren't understanding. Passengers mockingly waved goodbye to the couple as they were kicked off the flight.

JetBlue said the pair will not be allowed to fly with the airline again.

"Crew members are trained to speak to customers who are not following policies," the company said in a statement. "If a customer refuses to wear a face mask after being asked, crew members will work to de-escalate the situation to the best of their ability to gain compliance prior to removal. The safety of each customer and crew member is our first priority, and we must work together to follow the federal mask mandate during the travel journey."

A series of Karens have been seen on flights in the past year throwing unnecessary tantrums. As Blavity previously reported, one woman was kicked off an American Airlines flight in July after cursing at an employee.

“You called my employee a b***h, [and it was] completely uncalled for and inappropriate. You’re not going to travel. We don’t tolerate that crap with us, at all,” an airline manager told the Karen. “So you can find another carrier to fly with. I suggest Spirit.”

Another woman was also kicked off a plane in July after refusing to wear a mask. The passenger was mocked by passengers who cheered while the Karen headed for the exit.
