Netflix’s editorial manager, Jasmyn Lawson, has come up with an idea to make social distancing more bearable during the coronavirus crisis. On Wednesday night, Twitter users have been invited to remotely unite for a virtual watch party to enjoy Beyoncé’s award-winning documentary, Homecoming.

"Can we all watch Homecoming as a group some time this week and relive that again???" the editorial manager tweeted on Monday.

She then followed up with details for the virtual party.

"Alright, let's do this thing!" Lawson said. "How's Wednesday at 6 PM PST (9 EST)??? We can use the hashtag #HOMEcoming."

Social media users gladly accepted the invitation.

The watch party host also offered a tool to make the party even more enjoyable.

"If you want to watch with the Netflix Party extension, add the extension to your browser and @whal510 started a party for you to join!" she tweeted.

With the Beyhive stuck at home during the pandemic, the watch party appears to be the most important thing on their calendar.

And it's not just fans in America who are looking forward to the party.

The award-winning documentary, Homecoming, gives fans an inside look at Beyonce's 2018 Coachella performance. According to The Wrap, the Grammy award-winning artist made history when she became the first Black woman to headline the festival's main stage.
