Ari Lennox went to social media on Sunday to announce that she wants to be “dropped from the labels.”

"I’m done and tired," the singer tweeted.

Lennox, who is currently signed to Interscope and Dreamville, made her latest statement after sitting down for a bizarre interview with a South African podcaster, Complex reports. The artist felt disrespected after she was asked about her sex life during the interview.

Mac G, host of Podcast and Chill, raised the controversial question when he pulled a line from Lennox's song, “Pop.”

“Is someone f**king you good right now?” the host asked, according to Uproxx.

The Shea Butter Baby singer later expressed her outrage in a series of deleted tweets, Vibe reports.

“I’m just like… why was I alone on a call full of people? Why didn’t anyone intervene? And why wasn’t parts of the interview destroyed like the team promised? Why did it happen to begin with?” she said. “I just feel slow and ambushed and blindsighted. Just because I happily and freely sing/write about sex don’t make any kind of creepy disrespect warranted. I clearly was in immense shock and hate that I didn’t react differently.”

As she expressed her desire to escape the spotlight, Lennox faced backlash from some people who said the singer is overreacting.

The artist is now responding to her critics, including those who have issues with her content.

She also called out the people who fail to understand her experiences.

The 30-year-old has also vowed to stop doing interviews after her latest experience.

"F**k it! I don’t want anyone feeling sorry for me," she said, according to Vibe. "I’m tired of the narrative. Exhausted. I’m good I promise. But as for interviews I’m not doing them anymore. There’s enough lives and interviews out there already.”

Additionally, Lennox said she will not be visiting South Africa.
