Closed mouths don’t get fed.

When a fan took to Twitter to let people know that Ava DuVernay was in town, and she was dying to meet the A Wrinkle in Time director, Aunty Ava blessed her day by not only replying but also agreeing to a photo-op.

But the 46-year-old has been true to looking out for her folk. In February, DuVernay partnered with Los Angeles' mayor and producer Dan Lin to launch an initiative to fund 500 internships for women, people of color and those who come from low-income households by 2020, The New York Times reports.

She also donated all of her proceeds from the Ava DuVernay Barbie Doll to Color of Change and Witness, which are justice organizations for children, minorities and human rights, respectively.

DuVernay is the latest celebrity to bless a fan with their dream "ussie." In August, an Andre 3000 fan who just so happened to be wearing a shirt of the Stankonia artist ran into him in Brooklyn, making for the perfect photo-op and Twitter story:

In May, Temple University student Sylvia Wilson slid into Michael B. Jordan’s DMs while he was filming Creed II on the college campus. She offered to buy the actor a smoothie in exchange for a flick. Not only did Jordan let the fan meet him on set, he even told her the smoothie wasn’t necessary. (They also looked hella cute together.)

“He was so sweet and nice,” Wilson told BuzzFeed. “He was more than happy to takes pictures with me and my friends that came with me!”

For those who have yet to get their moment with the celebrity of their standom, your time will come, too. Trust in the process.
