In a segment with Buzzfeed News' AM to DM, acclaimed actress Angela Bassett, who stars in the recent hit Marvel superhero flick, Black Panther, decided to audition for the movie's villain Erik Killmonger

"People die every day," Bassett says while smirking in the clip. "That's just part of life around here."

She also managed to capture key moments like the "Hey auntie" line from when Killmonger meets T'Challa, the challenge battle where Killmonger mocks a defeated T'Challa and many more.

For anyone who has yet to see the Ryan Coogler-directed film, Bassett plays King T'Challa and Princess Shuri's mother, Queen Ramonda. She serves as a source of wisdom as T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) takes over as a newly crowned king following the death of his father, King T'Chaka.

Bassett isn't typically known for playing villains. But she has made a name for herself portraying powerful women who don't take no for an answer.

Playing Killmonger, who is portrayed in the film by Michael B. Jordan, is a different story. Black Panther's adversary is a child left behind by Wakanda. In the video, Bassett channels Erik's pain and anger as she dives deep into the audition.
