Blavity was representing at DragonCon, and I was blessed to experience it as a first-timer. I was most looking forward to all the amazing cosplay by the black women and girls. In a society where we love to police black women’s bodies, to see creativity and body positivity in Atlanta was a joy.
Here are some looks that caught my eye:

4. @TaiGooden is a Whovian girl, living in a Whovian world.
5. Black Girl Assassin – nuff said.
6. This Beatrix Kiddo x Black Widow team-up is incredible.
7. The DC Universe meets Sailor Moon Crystal.
8. @BlackMajik did not come for the games.
9. And I even cosplayed as Monica Rambeau (on her day off).
