"I was warming up with Amazing Grace in the studio and happened to mix up the lyrics with Strange Fruit. The coincidence was too strong for me to ignore therefore resulting in the birth of this song, and the creation of this music video."
Strange Grace is an analysis of the cyclical nature of violence against black bodies in America, and how our freedom remains tinged with bloodshed and unaccomplished.
