According to direct coverage from CNN, deadly wildfires surged across the green acres of California this past Monday, leaving a whirlwind of damage and losses. The most significant of the damage taking place in Northern California’s prominent wine country- Napa and Sonoma counties.

According to official news reports, the current devastation is as follows:

– There have been 10 confirmed deaths, so far, with anticipation of an increase.

– Approximately 100 people currently hospitalized for fire or smoke released injuries i.e. smoke inhalation and burns.

– Within 8 counties, over 55,000 acres of land have been burned and severely damaged. Alongside nearly 1,500 business and structures.

Residents are devastated, some pulling to their homes to see the damage or aftermath. The National Weather Service in San Francisco issued a "red flag warning" for the Bay Area because of current or impending critical fire weather conditions.

Our thoughts and prayer are with the families and fire crews there trying to understand and combat this devastation.
