Camila Cabello is getting mixed reactions from fans after being featured on Oxlade’s “KU LO SA” remix. While some are praising Cabello’s performance on the remix of the Afrobeats song, others are telling the pop artist to stay in her lane.
At this rate I feel that these worn out musicians like Camila,Selena are riding on this wave of afrobeats to make a comeback. It might look and seem like exposure to new audiences of some sort but these West African artists are being short-changed and misused. A win is a win tho https://t.co/DKba9CVY9F

Not Afrobeats gatekeepers coming online to rant that there’s absolutely no need for the new KULOSA remix by Oxlade.
The international market is the target audience. Camila Cabello understood the assignment 👏 pic.twitter.com/WZQrmGxVay

Just listened to Oxlade’s Ku Lo Sa Remix w/ Camila Cabello, and it sounds nice. To the people complaining, remember you’re not the target audience, and they didn’t delete the original version so play the one you prefer. Allow our artists to gain exposure. Afrobeats to the world!

“Afro beats is probably my most listened to genre of music & i have the most respect for @oxladeofficial,” she tweeted. “As a writer & an artist – i love this song. hope u love it as much as I do KU LO SA. remix out tonight.”

Speaking with The Knockturnal, Oxlade described Camila as a “pure soul.”
“Camila was the only option I wanted on the remix because she is music and she also is a pure soul,” the Nigerian artist told the outlet. “[The remix] made me feel extra special. She even called it ‘our’ song.”
Oxlade added that he is blessed to see the growth of “KU LO SA.”
“This is just a sign that I am on the right path. It has been [a positive] experience, seeing people smile, and becoming a source of joy in people’s lives,” he said. “It makes me want to do more and give out good music to the people. That and the single are encouraging me.”
Speaking about his future plans, Oxlade said he has an album dropping in the first quarter of next year.
“The album is titled Oxlade From Africa,” he said. “I am excited to put out these workings. I can’t wait! This album will give the world more versions of me and add more flavors to my melodies and sound.”
