Conservative political pundit Candace Owens was critical of the COVID-19 vaccine in a recent tweet, saying she was pro-choice.

But Owens’ pro-choice stance left many people baffled. In recent years, she’s spoken out against abortion and said she doesn’t believe women should be given the right to decide what to do with their bodies.

In March 2018, Owens made it clear that she didn’t agree with abortion clinics like Planned Parenthood.

And in May 2019, Owens said that “Planned Parenthood is voluntary genocide for black America.”

"62% of abortions in Alabama are performed on black women. Black women are only 7% of the population but account for over 40% of ALL abortions performed in America.Due to abortion, black population growth has stagnated," she wrote.

Some took to Twitter stating how ironic it was that the political pundit is pro-choice when it comes to what she and members of her family decide to do with their bodies. But, when it comes to pregnant women, it's totally different story.

On Thursday Owens responded to the backlash and explained that she wasn't exactly pro-choice.

Regardless of whether Owens has joined the pro-choice community or not, many say her choice to not get vaccinated is reckless and puts many people’s lives in danger.
