Conservative political pundit Candace Owens was critical of the COVID-19 vaccine in a recent tweet, saying she was pro-choice.
Not one person in my family will ever touch the Covid-19 vaccine.
That is the decision that we have made, unabashedly, as a family.
Medical freedom is an individual right that should NEVER be infringed upon and any person who thinks otherwise has no place in our government.— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) July 7, 2021
But Owens’ pro-choice stance left many people baffled. In recent years, she’s spoken out against abortion and said she doesn’t believe women should be given the right to decide what to do with their bodies.
In March 2018, Owens made it clear that she didn’t agree with abortion clinics like Planned Parenthood.
Planned Parenthood has been tremendously successful in the path they set out on; They have successfully trained us blacks to exterminate ourselves.
900 black babies aborted everyday. Over 18 million since 1973. 35% of all abortions come from 6% of the population: black women.

And in May 2019, Owens said that “Planned Parenthood is voluntary genocide for black America.”
"62% of abortions in Alabama are performed on black women. Black women are only 7% of the population but account for over 40% of ALL abortions performed in America.Due to abortion, black population growth has stagnated," she wrote.

Some took to Twitter stating how ironic it was that the political pundit is pro-choice when it comes to what she and members of her family decide to do with their bodies. But, when it comes to pregnant women, it's totally different story.
Bold move by Candace to come out as pro-choice https://t.co/UiZJdv2iRJ

I have often wondered if the anti-maskers & anti-vaxxers realize that they are pro-choice…

You conflated a lot when you said no one can tell you to get a vaccination "my body my choice" totally ignoring how pro choice you really are.

So you are pro-choice now? Got it.
Could you & your family sign a release of treating you if you get Covid-19?

So what about abortion? Seems it’s only stay out my health when it’s something you don’t agree on

On Thursday Owens responded to the backlash and explained that she wasn't exactly pro-choice.
I have always been pro medical-choice and anti-the murder of infants.
Not sure why this seems to have startled some on the Left who wish to conflate the two ideologies. https://t.co/fFzHuaukrO— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) July 8, 2021
Regardless of whether Owens has joined the pro-choice community or not, many say her choice to not get vaccinated is reckless and puts many people’s lives in danger.
