When Offset referred to Cardi B as his wife during the 2018 BET Awards, many were confused. We were all still under the impression the couple remained engaged.

However, it would appear the couple is married and approaching their first wedding anniversary.

TMZ got its hands on the couple’s marriage license, and the document shows the couple married on September 20, 2017, in Atlanta.

That means the duo were already married when Offset proposed to Bardi onstage last October.

The "I Like It" rapper fessed up about her marriage on Twitter, and it's apparent she did not want the news to get out. "There are so many moments I share with the world, and then there are moments that I want to keep to myself," she wrote. "Getting married was one of those moments!"

According to Bardi, she married Set in a turbulent time in their relationship, and they decided marriage would make them closer. She also had a message for people who had something to say about her pregnancy.
"Well now since you lil nosey f**ks know at least ya can stop saying I had a baby out of wedlock," she concluded.

A source told the gossip site Offset woke up one morning and asked Cardi to marry him. Later that day, an officiant came to their home and married them in their bedroom. Cardi's cousin was their only witness.

Cardi also spoke on how difficult it can be to plan a wedding on Twitter on Sunday, June 24.

The source said Cardi did not know she was pregnant when the couple got married. The couple will have a traditional ceremony and flaunt their wedding bands after their daughter is born.

Well played, you two.
