After viewing the extensive list of candidates vying for the 2020 democratic party nomination for president, Grammy award-winning artist Cardi B urged her fans to start engaging now.
"These are the democratic nominees. I can’t front I only [heard] and read on about six of them. [I'm] going to research these names on my flight!" she wrote in her Instagram post's caption. "LETS START LEARNING AND ENCOURAGING VOTING NOW! Not when [it’s] popular to do so and it’s only like four nominees left."
The field of Democrats sits at 20 after Former Vice President Joe Biden entered the race making it the largest field in American history.
The artist behind 'Invasion of Privacy’ has spoken before on political topics, calling the lengthy government shutdown at the beginning of the year “f***ing serious bro,” in a separate Instagram video.
"This sh*t is crazy. Like, our country is in a hellhole right now.” Cardi B explained to her millions of followers. “All for a f**kin' wall."
The previous post on the shut down even garnered responses by members of Congress who agreed with the message but were nervous about spreading the profanity-laced rant on official channels.
Omg, I had the same argument with myself 30 minutes ago!

Cardi B's statement follows a line of artist asking their plans to keep an eye on those vying for political office including Diddy's “Vote or Die” campaign.
