Chadwick BosemanSeemingly taking advantage of his rising star, and control of his career, actor Chadwick Boseman has sold an untitled pitch to Universal Pictures for what will be a thriller, which is being described as "in the vein of ‘The Fugitive.’"

Boseman will of course star in the film (assuming it eventually becomes one), which he’ll pen with his writing partner Logan Coles, with Marc Platt and Adam Siegel producing for Marc Platt Productions (set up at Universal), and Coles co-producing.

Nothing further is public about the project, and no word on who will direct the film; although Boseman is no stranger behind the camera, having previously directed 2 short films.

After starring roles in 2 biopics, "Get on Up" (James Brown) and "42" (Jackie Robinson), up next for Boseman is Alex Proyas’ fantasy-adventure movie "Gods of Egypt," in which he plays the god known as Thoth.

He’s also been rumored to be Marvel Studios’ top choice to play Black Panther on the big screen.
