We have yet another example of Chance the Rapper being a beacon of light for the Chicago community! He has officially teamed up with Chicago Beyond, in a new challenge named GO Initiative, in search of innovative fund ideas to help Chicago youth and the city as a whole.

Per its website, Chicago Beyond is “a philanthropic venture fund that helps organizations grow the impact of their ideas to transform the lives of young people.” In their own words, “[their] mission is to help accomplish your mission.”

Chance tweeted the build-up to the official announcement, showcased on Facebook Live:

Per Fake Shore Drive, Chicago Beyond Managing Director Liz Dozier and Chance took to Facebook Live to announce the challenge which asks for :90-second videos submitted to ChicagoBeyond.org and each chosen idea receives a $2 million fund!

“Chicago's young people possess tremendous potential and deserve every opportunity to thrive and succeed. We’re looking for nonprofits who are working to unleash that potential and we’re making it easy for any organization to apply. You don’t need sleek production. All you need is a camera phone and a great concept,” said Dozier, via an official Chicago Beyond press release.

Deadline for all video submissions is July 7, so get them in! Interested parties can apply here.
